Taweret is an Egyptian goddess- protector of women and children during pregnancy and childbirth in Egyptian Mythology. She most often took the form of a woman with the head of a hippopotamus. Myths have depicted her as a violent goddess, hence her association with the Hippo and also a nurturing force, a kind of nurse who warded off evil spirits determined to harm mothers.
The blue and yellow custom handmade glass wand features 2 distinctive different ends which inspired the wand to be named after the Goddess Taweret.
